Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness.  It means cultivating the courage, compassion and connections to wake up in the morning and think, No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough.  It’s going to bed at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the fact that I am also brave and worth of love and belonging.

 – Brené Brown, PhD, LCSW

I have had so many people share with me that they’ve read Dr. Brown’s books or are familiar with her work, and they love it!  But, they don’t know how to actually integrate it into their life.  Dr.Brown developed The Daring Way™ to help make that happen.  The Daring Way™ consists of 4 different curricula based on her research and books – “Daring Greatly™”, “Rising Strong™, ”The Gifts of Imperfection™” and ”BOLD™” (it’s NEW – for adolescents!).  All classes include written work, experiential exercises, and group discussions. I limit the Daring Greatly™ and Rising Strong™ classes to a maximum of 6 adult participants per class to create more opportunity for connection and a more meaningful experience.  This is life changing work!

DARING GREATLY™

DARING GREATLY™ is a class that meets for 2.5 hours each week for 6 weeks. The objective of the class is to learn what gets in your way of being able to “show up; be seen and live brave™” – to do those things you long to do, but don’t.

When:  Wednesdays, January 22 – February 26, 2020, 6:30 – 9 pm

Where:  North Salt Lake

Cost:  $450 all inclusive; sign up for Daring Greatly™ and Rising Strong™ and receive $50 off the Rising Strong™ class.  What a deal!  A payment plan is available. Contact Lu Duke at ludukecmhc@gmail.com or 801.721.9273 for more information.

RISING STRONG™

RISING STRONG™ is all about getting back up on your feet after a setback, failure, disappointment, transition, loss or anything else that may have caused you to feel like you’ve been overwhelmed, defeated or inadequate in some way.  The objective is regaining your ability to believe in yourself and live a more authentic life. This class meets for 2.5 hours for 6 weeks.

When:  Wednesdays, October 16th – November 20th, 2019.

The 2020 Rising Strong™ class will begin, Wednesday, March 18th, 2020, 6:30 – 9 pm.  Class will not be held on April 1st due to Davis County Spring Break.

Where:  North Salt Lake

Cost:  $450 all inclusive. A payment plan is available.

THE GIFTS OF IMPERFECTION™ (New Offering!)

THE GIFTS OF IMPERFECTION allows participants the opportunity to explore and discover who they are rather than whom they are supposed to be.  This is done by creating imperfect (and maybe messy) projects, and learning how to DIG Deep.

Each month a “guidepost” will be identified.  These guideposts are to direct us and help us focus on what we may need to give up in order to develop a more authentic lifestyle.  For example:  Letting go of “What people think” in order to cultivate “Authenticity” or letting go of “Anxiety as a lifestyle” in order to cultivate “Calm and Stillness.”  It is an exciting and rewarding endeavor!

This class will meet once a month throughout all of 2020.  There will also be emails sent out to class members in between meetings.

When:  The 2nd Wednesday of each month, beginning January 8, 2020, 10 am until noon.  The one exception to this will be the May 13 class will be held on a different date in May – TBD.

Where:  North Salt Lake

Cost:  $600 in full or a monthly automatic payment plan of $50 per month is available.  Please note – each session must be paid for whether or not you are able to attend.
